Eight different artists were invited to make a small artist book and my task was to guide them and also design a series of covers that would make all those totally different books into a serie. So my options were limited but I came up with the idea of making a series of numbers, all collages consisting of parts of different typefaces. Every cover uses at the most two pms-colours, printed with overlap on different colours of paperstock. In two cases embossing was used instead of printing. These little books came in a blue velvet slipcase, were numbered and signed by all the artists and then they were handed out as gifts for very special visitors of the city of The Hague.
